Grants + Development Manager

(Grant Writer)

 

Mission: Teen Care Network is a nonprofit organization committed to supporting teens and young adults with resources and programs that promote mental wellness, personal development, and community engagement. Our mission is to bridge the gap between care and community.

 

Overview: We are seeking an experienced Grant Writer to join Teen Care Network on a contract basis. This role is pivotal in securing funding that directly impacts the lives of teens in our community. The Grant Writer will identify, apply for, and secure grants that align with Teen Care Network’s mission. Compensation for this role will be directly connected to the successful acquisition of a grant, with an expectation that the first secured grant will cover the grant writer’s contracted time and salary.

 

Position Status: Contract, Remote, 10-15 hours per week.

General Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Research potential grant opportunities that align with Teen Care Network’s mission and goals.

  • Develop, write, and submit compelling grant proposals to foundations, government agencies, and corporate sponsors.

  • Collaborate with program directors, the executive team, and other key stakeholders to gather essential information for proposals.

  • Track grant application deadlines, requirements, and reporting obligations.

  • Maintain accurate records of all grant applications, correspondence, and funding activities.

  • Establish and maintain relationships with staff, volunteers and contractors

  • All other duties as assigned  

 

Tools or Systems Experience:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or Google Workspace for document creation and collaboration; Adobe Acrobat for PDF formatting.

  • Knowledge of project management systems such as Asana, Trello, Microsoft Office, Google Drive, Dropbox and Slack


 

Requirements, Skills, and Knowledge:

  • Proven experience in grant writing with a successful track record of securing funding, ideally for nonprofits focused on youth development, education, or mental health.

  • Strong research and analytical skills to identify and qualify funding opportunities.

  • Excellent writing, grammar, and editing skills with attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet strict deadlines.

  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and meet fundraising goals.

  • Excellent organization skills with strong attention to detail

  • Work cooperatively and effectively with staff, leaders and volunteers


 

Compensation:

This is a results-based contract position. Compensation is contingent upon the successful securing of grants. The expectation is that the initial grant will cover the contracted compensation for this role, with further opportunities based on performance.
